CPC Invites Design/Build Firms to Participate in RFP Process for New Campus of Healing Facility

The Child Protection Center, Inc. (CPC) is inviting qualified design/build firms to participate in the Request for Proposal (RFP) process for the construction of a new 6,000+ square foot facility at CPC’s Campus of Healing in North Port, Florida. This project represents a transformative step in expanding CPC’s ability to meet the growing needs of children and families impacted by abuse across Sarasota and DeSoto Counties.

For over 45 years, CPC has been the only nonprofit in the region solely dedicated to the prevention, intervention, and treatment of child abuse. Each year, CPC reaches more than 50,000 individuals through its four core programs, which include prevention workshops, forensic interviews, therapy services, and supervised visitations. In 2024 alone, CPC conducted over 600 prevention workshops, administered more than 4,000 hours of therapy, and responded to 3,200 reports of abuse and neglect.

According to the National Children’s Alliance, more than 600,000 children in the U.S. are abused each year—numbers that are severely underreported. The need for CPC’s services continues to grow, and the North Port Campus of Healing will serve as a cornerstone in addressing this urgent crisis. Interested design/build firms are encouraged to participate in this opportunity to partner with CPC in constructing a space dedicated to healing, hope, and protection. Firms should email cpcphilanthropy@cpcsarasota.org for the RFP and other pertinent project information as quickly as possible.
