[LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL] - Making An Impact, Inc., a nonprofit dedicated to empowering individuals with essential information and resources in Sarasota and Manatee counties, is pleased to announce the hiring of Scott Henderson as Executive Director.

Henderson brings more than two decades of nonprofit leadership experience, with expertise in strategic planning, fundraising, donor engagement, community partnerships, and program development. He has previously led organizations focused on addressing the needs of children, families, marginalized or underserved populations and supporting healthy and connected communities. As a nonprofit consultant has successfully guided multiple nonprofits through start-up, growth, and strategic transitions.

“We are thrilled to welcome Scott to the Making An Impact team,” said Victoria Kasdan, Board Chair. “His proven track record in building partnerships, securing resources, and strengthening community services will help us expand the reach and impact of our Resource Guides that improve lives across our region.”

At Making An Impact, Henderson will focus on advancing its mission to empower organizations and people with basic need and disaster recover information. His leadership will help forge new partnerships, enhance philanthropic support, and strengthen the nonprofit’s role as a trusted community resource. “I am honored to join Making An Impact and to support its vital work,” Henderson said. “By connecting individuals, families, and organizations with the right resources, we can create stronger, more resilient communities where everyone has the opportunity to thrive.”
